In this video, we continue our journey toward creating a healthier culture — Wicozani Waste — for ourselves and for the Oyate. A culture where conditions like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and cancer no longer define our future.

One of the biggest challenges in making healthy changes is trying to do too much, too fast. We push hard, get overwhelmed, slip up, and then start to believe we’ve failed. But slip‑ups are not failure — quitting is.
Today’s conversation is about something just as important as food or movement: forgiveness.

In our language, forgiveness is Ah‑kee‑chee‑k‑tunza. Learning to practice this — especially toward ourselves — is how we stay on the path when things don’t go perfectly. Mistakes are part of the journey. They are opportunities to learn, grow, and build resilience.
