In this video, we focus on Yuwóte Wašté (Eating Well) — an essential part of creating a healthier future for our Oyate.

If we want conditions like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and cancer to become ancient history for our people, then eating real, whole foods must become the foundation of how we nourish ourselves.

We talk about what whole foods really are — foods that come from the earth, not a factory — and why they matter for our energy, focus, mood, and long-term health. Eating well doesn’t mean perfection or drastic change overnight. Lasting change happens one small step at a time.

This conversation is also about remembering that whole foods can be flavorful, satisfying, and enjoyable. With simple ingredients, spices, and healthy oils, eating close to nature can be both nourishing and delicious.

👇 Join the conversation below:What whole foods do you enjoy eating? How do you prepare them?Do you have simple recipes you’d like to share? How can we bring whole foods back into our traditions, community events, and special gatherings?

Your experiences and ideas matter. Share, respond to one another, and keep encouraging each other as we continue this journey together.

I’m excited to hear what you have to share.See you in the comments — and I’ll see you next week.
